Daily Korean Tab one tab, one word

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026

The short version: this extension does not collect, transmit or sell your personal information. Your study progress stays in your own browser. The only time data leaves your device is to fetch audio files, or if you choose to submit feedback.

What the extension stores

Daily Korean Tab saves a small amount of data using Chrome's own storage, so your progress survives between sessions:

Settings and your memorized list are stored using chrome.storage.sync, which means Chrome may sync them between computers where you are signed into the same Google account. This synchronisation is performed by Chrome itself; the data is not sent to us and we cannot read it.

Rotation state is stored locally on the device only.

Uninstalling the extension removes all of this data.

What the extension does not do

Network requests

The extension makes automatic requests to exactly one service, and no others:

If a pronunciation file is unavailable, the extension falls back to your browser's built-in speech feature. That happens on your own device and sends nothing to us.

Everything else described below — the feedback form and the affiliate links — is an ordinary link that does nothing until you choose to click it. Images shown in the extension are bundled with it, not loaded from anywhere.

Feedback form

The extension links to an optional feedback form hosted on Google Forms. Nothing is sent unless you choose to fill it in and submit it. If you include your email address so we can reply, that address is visible to us in the form responses. Google's handling of form data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Affiliate links

The settings panel contains a small number of clearly marked affiliate links to third-party services. If you click one and go on to make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

These links are ordinary links: nothing is transmitted unless you click them. Once you do, the destination site may set cookies or use tracking parameters to attribute the referral, governed by that company's own privacy policy rather than this one.

Children

This extension is a general-audience study tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that meaningfully affects you, the updated date at the top of this page will change, and where the change is significant we will note it in the extension's release notes.
